It is important to protect one's eyes ( both chldren and adults ) from the damaging rays if sun . By using sun glasses that block out ninty nine to one hundred percent of both UV - A and UV - B radiations .
Glaucoma is asymptomatic . It can be detected if looked into .
Control of diabetes and blood pressure ensures healthy eyes .
Cow webs in front of eyes need urgent( not emergency ) examination .
Once in awhile close one eye alternately and read . Any distortion or missed letter calls for a detailed examination .

How is mars
Mars i.e. red planet . During summer the temperature remains -27 degree Celsius and in winter it reaches - 133 degree Celsius . Dust storm , extreme cold are the characteristics of the climate . Despite all these the geographical condition of the mars is very good .
Competition to reach mars
Russia - Plans to send six astronauts to mars by the year 2015 . Estimated expenditure is 200 billion dolors .
USA - Plan to send astronauts by the year 2031 . Estimated expenditure - 450 lakh dolors .
Europian union - will decide in the year 2015 that whether man should land on mars or other wise . By the year 2025 , technology suitable for making man to reach mars would be available .

Mission mars - NASA
Up to the decade of the year 1960 , scientists were unaware about many mysteries of the mars . First time mariner space craft of NASA transmitted pictures from mars . Which created lot of curiosity in the scientists about many mysteries of the planet mars . Most of them have been solved by now and now scientists are trying to find as in what form life exists in mars .
1965
NASA first time obtained 22 pictures of mars by space craft mariner - 4 when it reached near the mars .
1969
Mariner - 6 and mariner - 7 took more than 100 pictures of the mars and sent to earth . The surface and atmosphere of the mars was studied .
1971
Space mission mariner - 8 was unsuccessful . The space craft was destroyed during the flight .
1972
Historical flight
Mariner - 9 was the first space craft which orbited the mars . It sent pictures of valleys & volcanoes .
1976
Space craft landed on mars
Viking - 1 and viking - 2 landed on mars for the first time . No indication of life at mars were recorded . But detailed knowledge of chemical activity was obtained .
1993
After 18 years
Mars observer was successful to reach the orbit of mars . But after three days contact with the space craft was disrupted .
1996
Mars globan surveyor transmitted one lakh twenty thousand pictures of the mars .Many mysteries were unraveled .
1997
Mars path finder transmitted 220 million information and twenty thousand pictures . First time the pictures were watched on internet . It was disclosed that at some point of time mars was as wet and hot as the earth .
1999
Unsuccessful missions
Mars climate orbiter mission was unsuccessful . Later mars polar lander was also lost while it was trying to land at southern end of the mars .
2001
The geological maps received through mars odyssey for the first time unraveled many mysteries of the mars . Indication were received of presence of water and ice on the mars .
2004
Rover craft spirit transmitted pictures of a mystery image . Which looked like a image of a human being . There are however differences amongst the scientists about it .
26 May 2008
Hours after Phonix mars lander of NASA , softly landed at Martian arctic plains , it dazzled scientists with the first ever glimpse of red planet high northern latitude , believed to hold reservoir of the ice beneath .

Fat may not reduce
You may be sweating for hours in a gym or doing jogging or on a slimming diet , but fat in the body is not affected at all . In this case do not attribute to the short comings of these practices . But know about result of recent research . It says that in the old age the fat cells remain constant during the life time . But how ever body weight can become less or more . It happens because of the change in size of these cells . These cells are also called epidosites . These cells are made of the accumulated fat in the body . Study has also pointed out that the process of increase of body weight is different in adults and in the children . The research scientist Kristy Spalding of Caroliniska institute at Stockholm says that in children , body weight increases because of increase in the number of fat cells . It is difficult to reduce the body weight after it increases in the childhood . In the study the fat cell composition of 687 persons was examined . In the study age , sex and body mass index ( body weight proportional to height - BMI ) was kept in mind while conducting the study . It was found that the number of fat cells on an average increases up to the age of 20 years and there after remain constant .
Munch carrot and overcome tension
In a study conducted in Chili , it has been found that when carrot is munched , tension is reduced . During breast feeding , nutrients and antibodies pass to the baby and material bonds also strengthens . Study has shown various benefits of breast feeding an infant and some of these are given below :-
Reduces risk of diabetes .
Reduces risk of diarrhea .
Reduces risk of asthma .
Reduces risk of respiratory tract infection .

How to increase food grain production in India
Farmers require water . In India 47 million hectare of irrigated land produce 56 % of food grain and 95 million hectare of rain dependent land produce the remaining 44 % . If we invest in irrigation schemes , the crop yield will increase provided soil testing along with scientific application of fertilizer is also done . Land reforms if carried out will help redistribution of the land from the persons who are holding land contrary to the ceiling act , to the needy persons and productivity may increase . There is need for planning and establishment of marketing center for farm products conveniently linked by road , so that farmers could get better prices and motivate them to maximize production of food grain .
Yield per kg per hectare is as under presently : -
Rice- US 7,694 , China 6,265 , India 3,124 , Nigeria 1440 Wheat US 2825 ,China 4,455 , India 2,619 ,Nigeria 1,127

Green Petrol
After preparing biodiesel from jatrofa , technique has now been developed to manufacture petrol from all green plants . It is estimated that the green petrol will be available at petrol pumps with in five to ten years . The scientists of Massachusetts university while declaring the technique of preparation of green petrol , told that it will be made from grass and green trees . It would be completely free from smoke . Chemist George Huber and his students Tauren Carlson and Tushar have played the main part in development of the technique . The technique involves heating the cellulose in presence of the solid catalysts . Solid catalyst does not actively take part in the reaction . On speed cooling the product so produced , the green petrol in the initial stage is produced . The whole reaction is completed with in two minutes with use of very small quantity of the thermal energy . Napthlene and talwin are the by products and constitute , one fourth of the total product . In the next stage the green petrol so produced , is processed with other chemicals . The end product has the same qualities as that of the normal petrol .
